Birth of a new method of journaling

There are many different perspectives on the definition of journaling. But I was born to be a creator and never allowed myself to be limited by definitions. I loved the process of journaling. It had so many benefits. Writing helped me work through my feelings and gain new insights. However, I am an avid doodler and artist. Journaling provided a canvas for my creations even when I wasn’t in my studio. Extending the journal into a canvas was easy for me because I was already a creator.

I started creating custom journals for my friends as gifts. I would customize each cover with colors and graphics that spoke to our relationship. I would add images of experiences we shared. I would drop words of encouragement throughout the pages. When I gifted the final journal, I would ask each person to keep the connection going by sending passages I could add to my journal. And I would reply with a passage of my own.

After many years of designing journals, I realized there was still a gap in traditional methods of journaling. That’s when I decided to create the Jump Journal and the Jump Method of journaling.

The Jump Journal is a journal for creators. It doesn’t matter what you are creating as long as you create. You could be building the outline for a book, working through generational trauma, creating concepts for a new startup venture or just journaling for with  no rhyme or reason. Whatever your objective, there is a Jump Journal for you.
